Trip N2 - China

Going from India to China is a big change. Extreme. Even if their population count is similar, the streets are cleaner and the air too. I fell in love with Shanghai, the parks, how safe it is, the crazy jobs. You also learn about patience. And that is an extremely necessary thing to travel the world as a model.

At the time, each agency had a van, in each van, a driver (Shifu), a booker and models. Picture this, 10 vans, parked one next to the other, with beautiful, tall models from all over the world coming out of them. It was fun. For me at least. Most of them would complain. I swear my biggest enemy in China was bad vibes. So i had to be extremely positive. To the point of being annoying. But it was the only way to fight them. 10 castings in one day. 10 opportunities of getting a job. That’s incredible! But they would still complain. These days, you are lucky if you get 3 in a day.

We would also party a lot, and get payed for it too. But one must be careful, because alcohol is stronger.

Chinese people are curious about foreigners, because they aren’t used to seeing them. They might take a picture of you when you aren’t looking. And giggle. By the end of my 3 months, i had a goodbye party. So I picked my favorite club, included my friends to the list and saw my name on a big screen, it was such a great moment. The entire experience was wild and memorable.
